As previously discussed, this software would enhance database functions not currently available via Church Windows. The following comments outline the advantages of the Filemaker software program: User Friendly - Minimal training is needed. Pastors, ministry and staff people will be able to utilize this software without extensive training and prior knowledge of database maintenance. Addition of advanced database functions (i.e. managing video files) is possible. Projected useful life of the software is at least ten years, but could easily be longer assuming that the church’s needs are not beyond the software’s capabilities ten years from now. Software Capabilities (some key examples) • Customized letter templates and mail merge (via e-mail or regular postal mail) by ministry group regarding church events or for general communications. Customized templates for acknowledgement letters Donations received for Bazaar, Foundation, Trustees, Wakayama Fund, soup, and sewing, worship ministries, etc. Attendance tracking – Keeping track of church attendance.
