The NY state Board of Regents is asking for a Waiver from the requirements of NCLB and we want to let them know that SES has helped our children and that they should keep Free Tutoring in their plan. They are having a meeting Monday and Tuesday and we are asking parents if they would be able to go to the meeting on Tuesday from 9am till noon to show support for Free Tutoring. You won’t have to speak.
I believe that year-round schools should be at least an option in our district. First off, and very important to the students is that a year-round school gives students and teachers with a break every 2 months or so. Additionally, if we had the option of a year-round school then it would help to prevent some students from being taken out of school often for a family vacation to Mammoth or Mexico. Lastly, a year-round school would give the teachers a more time for teaching, ultimately letting them cover the required material more thoroughly. I believe that now is the time to change our educational system as we know it for the benefit of teachers, students and their parents!
Soham Murders A crime shook Britain and put the name of Soham, the quiet, market village in Cambridgeshire, in history. Schoolgirls Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman left a family barbecue to go and buy sweets and were never seen again. The hunt for the missing 10-year-olds, left the nation gripped for nearly two weeks, ended in tragedy when their bodies were found in shallow graves near an RAF base in Suffolk. Local school caretaker Ian Huntley was arrested and charged with their abduction and murder. The then-28-year-old claimed Holly had accidentally drowned after falling into the bath at his rented cottage as he tried to treat her nosebleed.
One of the positive effects of passing the DREAM Act is that it will provide legal resident status to the illegal youth living in the U.S., who are passionate about learning and furthering their education. Almost 65,000 undocumented students graduate from high school each year in the United States and cannot further education or obtain a job because of their legal status. If the DREAM Act were to be passed, these students would be able to enroll in a college or university, be able to apply for financial aid and pay in-state tuition rates as well as enter the military (Bennion). Once an immigrant completes 2 years of college or military service they will able to obtain legal status. With their new status in the country they will be able to legally work study and obtain drivers’
Professional Licensure Plan Samantha Stahn Argosy University Professional Licensure Plan In the state of Arizona, where I intend to practice counseling once fully licensed, there are many requirements that must be met prior to one obtaining licensure. Following the degree, one must practice counseling under supervision for a certain amount of time. Afterwards, one must pass the National Counselor Examination to obtain the Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). Then every two years the licensed must be renewed with continuing education credits being acquired within the two year timeframe.
He was also close to his two brothers Ronald and Stan. Life seemed perfect in the boys’ eyes. David’s relationship with his mother was warm and loving in the beginning. But his mother’s love and affection suddenly changed overnight. David went from being a part of a warm, caring family to daily abuse that almost killed him.
As a parole plan, the team advised the best for Stanley, but unfortunately he was not ready to change his lifestyle. There is nothing our team could have done for Gavas until he is ready to change his life for the better. Kenneth Stanfield has done well with the plan the team assigned for him. He follows the plan and has been drug-free according to the drug screenings. Our plans as a team for Stanfield have been fine and in the future if any changes have to be made, the team will reconsider the evaluations for

His story is a tragic one; he was born in Lodz, in 1926. Paul was the only survivor of his immediate family which consisted of three people, and the lone survivor of his extended family in Poland which consisted of 18-20 people. Only four relatives in Germany lived past the Holocaust. Paul’s dad was murdered in 1939, and he and the rest of his family were forced into the ghetto in 1940. After work one day Paul saw his grandfather dead at his chair, he had starved.
Crista said “I dropped out my senior year and that’s when reality hit me”. Then she got 800$ in food stamps and a 3 year cash program from the state of Ohio. That shows when you make mistake you will make other ones and that’s how most young adults end up in poverty. Sunny Mash lives in a 4 bedroom house with 14 people because her dad got sick.
