1.1 introducing the project :-
In our project we are going to reflect on the distribution of power – the executive and legislature branch in UAE, in detail we are going to talk about the Federal National Council (FNC), focus on the current election, comparing between theory and reality and how the power is distributed from another governing system. The aim is to justify – or – refute the following statement “Power in U.A.E governing system resides with the executive branch of the government. The legislative branch participates in decisions making only in a consultative capacity “.
The Federal National Council (FNC), (al-Majlis al-Watani al-Ittihadi) is the federal authority of the United Arab Emirates formed to represent the general emirati people. The FNC consist of 40 members with advisory tasks in the house of legislative council. The Federal National Council (FNC) was formed under the Provisional Constitution of the United Arab Emirates in 1971 as a permanent component of the country's governing structure, which also includes the Supreme Council, President, Cabinet and Judiciary. The president of the council is Abdul Aziz Abdullah Al Ghurair since 2006. (Wikipedia.com ).
1.3 The main issue about the project:-
The main issue of the project is to reflect on the distribution of power , the actual role of FNC , the theory practice .
Our main objective to concentrate on linkage of this project to the theoretical discussion by:-
* Identify FNC
* Focusing on the current election
* Comparing between theory and reality
* Comparing between UAE political system and another country
Also, we want to focus on the distributive of power in UAE governing system which will help and lead us to better understanding about the political system in UAE.
