In his New York Times article, “Air Travelers’ Woes Likely to Worsen This Year,” Jeff Bailey talks about Unites States’ Airline companies deciding to reduce growth to offset fuel prices. Every time people fly somewhere, they get very disturbed and anxious because of the gigantic crowds in the airports. They always think they will miss the flight due to not dropping off their baggage on time, or miss the connecting flight, because they have to go through extra security and the lines are enormous. It would seem just right for companies to grow, increase the number of flights to lower the crowding in all the airports. However, major airline companies are actually doing the complete opposite, and are reducing domestic capacity this year, in order to increase fare prices.
All I’m going to say is that I did my best to set up the government right, but the more I do this the more I realize how dumb I am, and so maybe it’s okay if I let someone else take over. Before I go I’ve got to thank y’all, for the awards and honors and stuff but more importantly for your supporting my projects to try to make everything right, even if they didn’t always turn out quite as well as I hoped. Remember, it’s hard to tell how things will turn out when people get all fired up, so thanks for sticking by me even when everything was going to hell. Y’all get the credit for anything good that came
This article also reminded me of Churchill's essay in which America has the tendency to "[...] grab stuff other people produce, at our gunboat-diplomacy prices[...]" (5) or "gutting the Constitution" (5),meaning underhandedly putting aside the private rights of citizens in order to so called keep the nation "safe". Even Atwood asks, "[...] when did you get so scared? You didn't used to be so easily frightened" (5). However, at the end of the essay Atwood still has hope for this nation yet and I agree with her indefinitely. If America would stop trying to control everything for one-minute we could take a step back and regain our dignity, respect, and values that we have always strived for.
It has free assistance and counseling for both the patient and families. This was very important because when Zachary was trying to get treatment and counseling we either had to pay for it because of not having the right insurance. This also leads to not getting any help or treatments, which was hard on everyone. Our message is to take one day at a time and to help relieve the burden patients feel that they put upon their family and friends. Cancer is not an infectious as a disease but does create a fear that affects daily lives of all those near and dear to us.
Also this apology letter was very personal, another thing we do not expect to come out of an apology letter. We expect it to say sorry for the inconvenience, we send you our greatest apologies, the end. Not in this case, the employee Rick goes on to tell the recipient of the letter about his personal life, he compares his use of the newest model of the I can speak to show her how much happier she would be with a newer model. In most cases she would just be told the features of the new model in the letter, but rick makes sure she knows how it has affected his life personally. He even goes on to call her foolish in a sense he says in the letter
Kennedy were remembered for these reasons. Although these men got assassinated, they made a big change to our country. If it wasn’t for the changes they made, we would not have friends of a different nationality, we wouldn’t be wise to each other, and we wouldn’t get along. These men had the courage to stand up to themselves and speak from there hearts to make us understand what was right and what was wrong. People are glad that everything has changed over the years or else what life would we be living right now?
There is so much we can do if people just invest the time and recognize how real this is. People don’t seem to understand or believe anything bad can come from texting until it actually happens to them. Then it’s too late but it doesn’t have to be. I’m no scholar or professional on highway safety but I do have common sense and I have been affected by this epidemic personally and that just puts fuel on the fire so I can save someone else from the pain it may bring. I lost a good friend of mine I known since I was middle school to texting and driving.
The military should not be thought of as a social program for orphans, jobs for the poor, or people going nowhere in life, but as a group of highly trained professionals dedicated to protect our country. Becoming a solider can change you into a better person than you were before and also change your appearance. Our country should always be prepared to defend itself. If being prepared means reinstating the draft then I think we should this a reasonable proposal. I think the tragic events of September 11 will evoke most people to agree on reinstating the draft.
We can’t let our brothers and sisters worry about whether they will have somewhere to stay or food on the table. We have to live to help each other and stand for what’s right. Personally without these systems in place you’ll see crime and poverty rise faster than the water that destroyed New Orleans. It should be a mission amongst our nation to help those in need and are less fortunate. We have these systems in place to maintain stability and structure amongst our government in order to maintain the peace of mind that our country is strong and will overcome any
Imagine being in their position that makes me more thankful for them just to know what they done. They got shot at for us, some even got killed. They have put themselves to danger each day, knowing that they did that for our country is the most amazing thing you could have done. They are the reason we have freedom, how awful would that be? I think it would be pretty awful.
