A.S.A.P food is food that is processed as soon as possible and distributed as soon as possible. These companies compete for costumers daily in many different manners. So the question is why are people lead to the consumption of fast food in the first place? Some typical causes of fast food are the additive taste of the food, the advertising of food, the expense of the food, both parents are working, and longer hours at work. Everyday companies are trying to find new ways to keep customers at their restaurants.
After a hard day of work most people want a quick and easy dinner so they automatically think of eating out for the night. There are some who do blame Taco Bell and McDonalds because of their high fat foods. Parents are the ones responsible for what their kids eat in my eyes. They can help their family and themselves by bringing home more healthier food and "accept their role in fighting the problem"(Weintraub 11). When a family goes out to eat out at McDonalds, they buy meals that are extremely over portioned or "meals that can easily make up to half of their recommended daily intake of calories"(Brownlee 1).
Sometimes people do things without thinking about their health. That’s why having overeating habits is very bad and can cause obesity. Both readings, “The Wages of Sin” and “In Gorging, Truth” support comparisons that are effective in different ways. Both reading give examples of how people affected by society and this can cause health issues. That’s why they tend to overeat and get overweight.
This means that they need different types of nutrition’s. For example since their metabolism tend to burn the food faster they need some type of heavy food but not too heavy so soon their metabolism won’t be able to break it down; which will cause them to gain weight. Americans are becoming comfortable with fast food and unhealthy choices.

The most common reason people continue to eat fast food, despite their knowledge of the negative effects, is the simple fact that it tastes good. The addictive and yet fattening qualities associated with fast food leave people constantly craving one more bite.
