The facts about fast food and obesity in children are they linked? Most uneducated parents would like to know if fast food would lead or is it the reason for the child’s obesity, most parents that are educated about the fact don’t seem to care that their children are at risk for major and some life threatening illness just because it’s a way to shut them up so that they don’t have to hear them or don’t have to cook a healthy meal for their children. It’s no secret that more and more children are considered overweight each year. CBS News, reports that fast food is the biggest obesity problem among kids in the U.S., also that 1/3 of children ages 4 to 19 consume a fast food meal on any given. In 2003, 15% of American children were obese. Here in my report you will see some facts that may be interesting to the uneducated parents of America that want to know and understand more of Obesity
In 2009 it was reported that the average child gained six extra pounds by eating from fast food restaurants. There are always positives and negatives in our lives, with this certain subject matter it’s a negative effect on children of America. Did you know that children who consume a high amount of fast food meals are at risk of suffering from obesity and may develop serious health problems, such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and type 2 diabetes? While children grow with age the need lots of vitamins and iron, high consumption of fast food makes the children more prone to illness like loss of appetite, constipation, tiredness, fatigue, lack of concentration and a disease like anemia these are caused by vitamin deficiencies. Since diet affects all of these conditions regularly, consuming fast food that contain high fats, high sugar, and high salt increases the likelihood of developing these life threatening condition even at an early...
