“Savouring each moment when we play together, laugh together, crack jokes together, sob together, pray together, study together; remembering the times when you a say a word of hope when my inner most being was in despair, remembering the times when you got mad at me because of my childishness and absurdities, all that I can do now is to relish, to relish, to relish because the joyful moments of being with you is almost over; the end is already near and things will not be the same again. I cannot stop the ticking of the clock. I am afraid - deeply afraid, because facing the new day and challenges without you, places me into a cylinder of loneliness, remembering your absence. All that I can do now is to relish, to relish, to relish each moment we have together. Life seems to be incomplete without you, but time needs to pass; life needs to go on; we both need to go on. The pain which the scythe of separation inflicted to us cannot be erased, but we need to take our own course, we need to take our own life. Goodbye my dear friend, I know someday our roads will cross once again.” (From a narrator) One of the greatest sad human realities is the reality of saying goodbyes, and this reflection will try to ravel the mystery behind the pain, the sadness in saying to a special person so long farewell, although it is deeply necessary for both person to say so, for the benefit of both. To begin with let us first explore, why the narrator finds it hard to say goodbye to the other person. Let us remember that deep sadness does not occur in saying goodbye to an ordinary person but in a person close to one’s heart. In the first paragraph we can see that the person is very much affected in the separation between him and his friend; separation for him is like a wall which disables them to meet and feel the presence of each other, that’s why the narrator to ease this sorrow
