Farewell Speech Essay

349 Words2 Pages
Good morning. As you all know, today marks the end of our stay in this amiable institution, and I wish to say a few words before we all part ways to go back to our separate lives in the city. The band camp this year has been one of the most successful camps we have ever had. Aside from the fact that this camp had the most number of participating bands from different secondary schools across the region, it also has the most successful team of facilitators and marshals who guided each and everyone as we went from one activity to another. I still remember two weeks ago when I first set foot in this camp. Looking around all I saw were new faces because I was the only one from our school who was sent here. We were all wearing the newbie shirts and all had curious eyes, eager to learn how the oldies do it. I will always remember how I wished to be part of the other group because the star players were there. But as days went by, I saw how our group grew up, and everybody else as well. And there came the challenges which were given to us. Who could ever forget the amazing race game where the tuba players fell into the mud? They sure learned to stick together. I could still recall how everybody screamed and ran in the woods during the underground ghost hunting session, as legends were proved to be true. Well, I want to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude to the organizers of this event, the facilitators who gave really wonderful workshops, to the band conductors who patiently took time to listen at our playing, to the marshals for keeping the order, and of course to my fellow band campers. I’ll always remember you, and I’m sure you will also remember each and every one. This will definitely not be our last time together, and I am really looking forward on seeing you all again next year! Thank you very much and farewell
