(TCO C) As a manager you are in a situation where a key employee seems to have lost his excitement about the job. The employee's familiar positive tone and high energy approach to the job and the workplace seem to be on the wane. You really don't know what is going on with this person. But, you can try to start to understand this employee by examining various motivation theories. Use elements from each of Maslow's theory, Herzberg's Two-Factor theory, and Equity theory and assemble your own motivation theory to help you to start understanding this employee.
The business philosophy today is to provide work-life balance to every employee. This is based on the belief that employee perform well and stay on the job for long if they have a health and balance life. Employees now provide special benefits to employees such paid time offs, which are not part of the Family and Medical leave. Employees are now given paid leaves to take care of sick relatives and birthday leaves to celebrate their birthday or the birthday of the love ones. The changes in the business environment and societal values actually provide positive impacts to legally required benefits.
I asked a man as he was leaving with his family what he though of facility. As he stood there with his counselor facility and peers from the he smiled. These tokens were for people who have been alcohol free for 30, 60 and 90 days. There were a few members that were able to receive these tokens and were excited to announce they had been alcohol free for the amount of days of the token earned. This appeared to have made them feel good about themselves and gave them encouragement to continue with their achievement. The meeting ended with all saying the Lord’s Prayer. What I learned from this experience is that these meetings are a fellowship of men and women who share their experiences, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.

Duy Nguyen Professor Freese Ranne Engl 1302 Reader Response #1 The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch The Last Lecture reprise is a great appearance which gives him a chance to view his sentiment to all audiences on Oprah show. This lecture really makes me think a lot of how to live life. In my opinion, Randy Pausch is well-spoken person when he tells us his life story every moment he had about his family, his dreams, and show us how to make dreams come true in life. He was fighting pancreatic cancer, but now it still come back after surgeons. This is major potential of person who keeps abreast with the death.

Compare and Contrast In the first email I was letting the committee member know about the date of the meeting and also letting them know what the meeting was about. In the second email I was thanking a committee member for all the help that they provided me with my proposal. The differences between the emails is one was a bit more professional in letting the committee member know about what was going on and what was expected of them.
