Haha, you're getting into a storm bigger than you can handle with this bunch....it's not a matter of helping you out. I just don't want to stand in line for anything...but especially something I care ZERO about. | Person 4I don't mind getting you all tickets.I...Hahaha, well, just let me know, and I'll see what I can do. | I wrote the dialogue in a fashion that can show overlapping. I have a family that is very informal, and close, therefore there is little turn-taking, and lots of interruption. As is defined, it may seem rude to many people, and when we carry these habits into conversations with people outside our family, people often get offended. It is simply the way we all grew up together, and turn taking is based on who is talking loudest and commanding the most attention. It's not a struggle emotionally, but it can be a struggle physically to overcome the obstacles others are presenting with volume, and other forms of suppression. Person 1(Grandmother): Well hon, that's just the way we've all grown up. HEHE! If you want to be heard, you better shout. Person 2(Mother): Haha, it's funny bringing light to it. I don't usually think of it as interrupting. Just layered conversation. Person 3(Me) Person 4(Cousin's New Boyfriend): It can be very intimidating trying to speak in front of your family. You all have it together, but from an outsiders point of view, it's like swimming with sharks.
