Others can be the family, worried about their family members health which can be f. very stressful for them which can cause uncomfortable confrontation between them g. And other staff members. D. What can us as health care providers due to handle these difficult people and situations that can occur? h. We as providers can continuously educate and inform ourselves of new ideas.
Emergency Room Physician A physician in the emergency room is described as someone who provides immediate recognition, evaluation, care, stabilization, and disposition of a generally diversified population of adult and pediatric patients in response to acute illness and injury. The physician has a very demanding job from the time they step into the emergency room to the time they step out. People’s lives are in their hands, the physician is required to make very imperative decisions because people’s well-beings are at stake. The physician is required to obtain many traits that will help them be a successful emergency room physician. There is a main “duty” an emergency room physician has to undertake.
I feel like my job as a nurse would be to make sure that no errors occur, and that the patient is safe at all times. When researching my topic, I learned that a lot of patients in the hospital die due to medical errors. I also learned that a lot of injuries occur among hospitalized older adults due to safety related issues. I think it’s sad that many people are being harmed and losing their life all because of something that could have been prevented. Patient safety is a huge issue that should never be overlooked.
like any other x-ray scenario, make sure I am familiar with the equipment prior to going into surgery and get familiar with the types of surgeries I will be doing. I think once I get out and start working my O.R. anxiety will go away once I start working. My strengths are that I am a hard worker in the clinical setting I was always willing to do whatever they needed me to do and I was willing to take constructive critic on how I can become a better tech or even on how to manage my time when doing different procedures on the same patient. One of the human skills that a good Administrative Medical Assistant needs to have is people skills. Working as an Administrative Medical Assistant, you have to know what you are doing when you are doing your job and you need to be able to communicate with the patients and your coworkers without getting angry when a situation arises. People skills are very important and need to be strong and on point because you are dealing with people on a daily basis. Being able to communicate with patients can make their visit easier and can help you accomplish more in the time during their appointment. Knowing how to communicate is important because there will be times that you have to deal with situations like when a patient calls or comes in to the office and they are upset and taking their anger out on you.
The job of EMT’s include quickly assessing a patient's major body systems to identify life-threatening problems, initiating interventions, identifying priority patients, and determining the severity of one’s injuries and the need for immediate transport . EMTs train for these situations on a daily basis. What most do not realize is that these skills can also be used by Good Samaritans, people who have little to no medical training but are still helpful during an emergency. Like EMT’s who gather information from the scene size up, perform assessment, and examine the injured, Samaritans can do these same logical steps to help those in need. Before going to help one in need, a scene size up needs to be completed.
This is one department where teamwork is essential and a lack of leadership amongst co-workers can lead to ineffective care (36). It is important to have communication and training because patient’s conditions are more serious and can change quickly. Because the conditions of a patient are more serious, any health care provider on that unit needs to know who to call or what therapies to use/change to improve a patient’s condition. 2) Medical Teams in the Emergency Department: Providers in this department include Nurses, Respiratory therapists, and physicians. Physician assistants, X-ray technicians and lab technicians may also be called to the department.

Within a Healthcare setting you will be expected to work with a wide variety of people. Patients and their families/carers/visitors, Doctors, Nurses, Health Care Assistants, Cleaners, Ward waiter/waitresses and all manner of visiting Allied Healthcare Professionals such as OT’s, Physiotherapists, Radiographers etc. We also, could not do our job without the fantastic input from the many voluntary organisations working within the hospital such as multi faith leaders and support groups.
