The Face book application is owned and operated by Face book Inc., which was established in September 2006. A primary advantage is that it’s an online community that we can in touch, connect, and communicate and get to know others better over time. Face book is a very important part of many teenagers’ lives, and it us keep in touch with our friends and family. In Roni Jacobson’s essay “Facebook Snooping on Job Candidates May Backfire for Employers” he says that “Profile screening (of our profiles on Facebook) could potentially color the judgment of the applicant- whether they realize it or not”. Everything we do online like posting about the awesome party we attended last night or saying something about how we hate working is seen by our employers which in some cases can cause loss of our opportunity for that job. Technology can give us opportunity but also take it away just like that. There are definitely positives and negatives that come out of technology but it doesn’t matter how much we learn or how much we take from it, we will never have anything without reality and the real life aspect of life itself.
