The daily jostle that is needed to keep the hospital running can often times cause an overlooking of what matters most; the patients themselves. Also, information can become distorted when several patients’ have been seen and the documentation has not been completed within a timely manner. The patients and their family that come to Nightingale Community Hospital depend fully on the competence, and compassion of the staff here. Therefore, it is the staffs’ responsibility to uphold a standard of care that is even greater than that of the Joint Commissions requirements. It is always crucial to put yourself in the place of the people depending on you to care for them or their loved ones. The patients of the hospital depend on the staffs’ ability to communicate, not only to their co-workers but also to their patients, for education, information, and critical thought out systems of care and care maintenance.
