Explain the procedures for supporting children with potty training. Potty training comes when the child is ready. Once a child starts to recognise when they have done something in their nappy that is when we begin on introducing them to the potty. This is where we take the child into the bathroom and tell them what the potty is used for. We will then ask the child if they would like to sit on the potty every time we take them to the bathroom after that. However, children may refuse to sit on the potty.
