Exercise and the Human Body What physical activity did you do yesterday? Keeping the heart, body, and mind healthy is a result of exercising. Being physically active for at least one hour a day can offer benefits far beyond the obvious. Exercising leads to many positive results towards the human body. Exercising begins with motivation. Motivation can be anything from the job you want or the mate you want to impress. However, if you refrain from doing any physical activity whatsoever it can cause sickness and even death. Exercise boosts brainpower, relieves stress, and helps you live longer. Exercising helps improve your mental function and clarity. It helps to keep you focused and productive in your work. Exercise improves your strength and stamina and keeps you energized and awake all day. Exercising does fatigue the body, but if done daily the body will become accustom to it. It makes it easier to achieve everyday tasks and make you feel much more awake and alert. Being stressed out is never fun. Stress makes you angry and irritable. Exercise elevates the mood and keeps you from becoming depressed. It offers a better state of mind at work and at home. Because exercise relieves stress, it helps build relationships and puts you in a better mood for the rest of the day. It also improves what you think of yourself and builds a positive self-image. Exercise helps raise self-esteem and keeps you healthy. People who are happier with themselves are happier around others. It helps keep a positive attitude and keeps the stress level down during stress inducing situations. Exercising helps prevent high blood-pressure, type-2 diabetes, and obesity. It reduces the amount of aches and pains associated with aging. However, it does not only help prevent disease, but also keeps the heart healthy.
