Liberty Theological Seminary Book Critique on Believer’s Baptism: Sign of the New Covenant in Christ Submitted to Dr. Christopher Moody in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the completion of this course THEO530- B02LUO Systematic Theology II June 26, 2015 Table of Contents Introduction……………………………………………………………………………………....3 Summary………………………………………………………………………………………….3 Critique ………………………………………………………………………………………..…4 Conclusion ………... ………………………………………………………………………….…7 Bibliography ……………………………………………………………………………………..9 Introduction In their book, Believer’s Baptism, the authors Schreiner and Wright attempt to incorporate their views on why baptism is essential in the Christian church. Along with its importance they also go further by promoting the believer’s baptism over infant baptism. They begin by attacking the Christian claim found among many that baptism is a trivial issue. They quickly negate this statement with an alternate point of view, that Christians who suffered persecution and martyrdom did not believe it to be so. Summary Placing aside the foreword and introduction, there are ten chapters or sections to this book.
LIBERTY UNIVERSITY evangelism vision paper A PAPER SUBMITTED TO Dr. homer massey IN PARTIAL FULFILLMENT OF THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE COURSE EVAN 525 LIBERTY BAPTIST THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY BY DAVID E. ROBERTS LYNCHBURG, VIRGINIA SUNDAY, JULY 4, 2014 Table of Contents Introduction 3 New View of Evangelism 3 My Evangelism Vision 5 My Future in Ministry and Evangelism 7 Conclusion 8 Bibliography 9 Introduction Evangelism doesn’t come easy for me. I get nervous and doubt my ability to fulfill the Lord’s expectation for me. At least that is what I tell myself. Evangelist G.K. Chesterton covered the issue when he wrote “Christianity has not been tried and found wanting; it’s been found difficult and not tried.” This statement is a reflection of my evangelical history, I am saddened to admit. Although I am certain of God’s calling for my life, discerning His specific mission for me is am intimidating task.
On Monday, when the world celebrates the life and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr., the family of his brother will say a prayer for a figure that has been largely lost in history – King’s younger brother, Alfred Daniel “A.D.” King. “A.D. King, if it hadn’t been for Martin and his father, would have been a prominent preacher in this city, because he was a very good preacher,” said Ambassador Andrew Young. “He was active in all of the movements, but he was Martin’s baby brother. Only the Kennedys have been able to pull off a dynasty because

And these things they will do to you because they have not known the Father nor Me. But these things I have told you, that when the time comes, you may remember that I told you of them. -John 16:1-4 This aforementioned reference to the words of Christ is what Jesus told His disciples about coming religious persecution. Jesus did not specify that the persecution would come from Jews, or Muslims or “so called” Christians. The Lord warned that “Men would think that they were offering service for God”.
Gibson 1 Luke Gibson Professor Bryan Ray Bible 110 13 April 2015 Biblical Worldview Essay When we take a look at how much the book of Romans teaches us about our lives as Christians, it is truly amazing! This book teaches us almost everything we need to know about our identity, our relationships, our view of the natural world, and civilization as a whole. After reading Romans 1-8, it is evident that the only we can change our lives for the better is by accepting the fact that we need a personal relationship with God every walk of the way. Today’s natural world consists of a very dark atmosphere. It ranges from constant drug use and overdose all the way to sexual addiction on a daily basis.
Down the Street from Grace The Haitian Journey By Shelia V. Towns August 2011 Preface & Introduction Credits given to the Holy Spirit For those of you meeting me for the 1st time, I would like to share how I came to document this Haitian Mission. A journey as my son Timothy and I set out to do a “new thing” in God. But let me back up a little, I really have three sons, Patrick “Tony” who is my oldest, loves animals and children, adults are a different story, Timothy (T-Moe), the middle child and then Jonathan (JB) the one who has to have the last word every single time and also said when he grew up, he wanted to marry his mama. Now Timothy, the son that fell in the middle by birth, he is truly the baby. As you will find out later
In the first section, verses 1-34, Paul explains how real resurrection truly is. In the second section, verses 35-58, Paul explains resurrected bodies. This really hit home with me as I have had to digest this portion of scripture as a whole, not looking at only one verse or two. I think that the amount of time Paul spent teaching this principle of the doctrine of the resurrection to the people at Corinth has to be significant to us. It cannot be taken lightly and we should be careful to understand just how we are going to get to heaven just as we would if we were going to travel across country.
