From the way we are physically, to those around us emotionally, to the way in which we perceive the entirety of the world. Around us, everything will eventually change. Majority of the time we are not even overtly conscious of the changes that are occurring, but none-the-less they are happening. The alterations in our lives are a natural course that cannot be easily stopped or controlled. When we think of all of the things we valued and appreaciated at the ages of, six, ten and even fourteen, the continuous abundance of the transformations in our lives becomes apparent to us.
Benefits of Innovation and Change To fully understand the benefits of innovation and change, we must first understand what innovation and change actually are. The Oxford Dictionary then defines change as “an act or process through which something becomes different. O’Sullivan describes innovation as something “helping organizations grow…Innovation is the process of making changes to something established by introducing something new” (http://www.sagepub.com/upm-data/23137_Chapter_1.pdf). There has always been the need for organisations to change, update and improve but now more than ever given the world’s current economic situation and the need to more than satisfy market needs. First an organisation must recognise their need to change a current process, their equipment, structure or any other possible thing to change.
The management team needs to understand that “change is an ongoing and never-ending process of organizational life” (Van de Ven & Sun, 2011, p. 58). After showing the team where they are the next step would be to show them where they can go if they make the necessary changes. During the future state presentation, an outline of how business would increase and improve statistically. Companies often require visual and the future state presentation would provide several visual chart reports showing the company how they will improve their marketability by implementing project management functionality. The increase to employee morale and production would be the closer to this presentation.
