Families are full of love and hope but to annihilate that all is a complete act of putrid evil and hate. War gives illusional rights to these inhumane beings that these acts are a part of life which they aren’t. Natural death should be the cause of all these lives, not innocent murder. War is the reason these families blood has been spilt. After all these past events, the 1800’s wars, The Boer War, WWI, WWII and The Cold War, you’d think we’d all have learnt our lesson that war was destroying people, along with the world.
Many believe that the Iraq war was a fatal mistake and it actually heightened terrorist activities. So, Post 9/11, US had become a war mongering country in the name of fighting
The Women Are Ready, So Is The World Since the beginning of time there has been an ongoing trend in human existence; that trend has been war. Wars over religion, territory, freedom, and many other causes which call for a fighting force. Men however have fought these fighting forces for centuries; but times are changing. War is no longer the brutal combat, which it used to be with swords, bows, and arrows used thousands of years ago, neither cannons nor muskets of hundreds of years ago. War, in this day and age has evolved so far from that the fact is almost unfathomable.
Whether it is an influence on science or art, to anyone who has studied Greece in the days of its glory the influences be easily pinpointed. These influences continue into the art of war. As previously stated, war was a constant in Greece so much so that it became imbedded in its very culture. Consequently the way in which war was conducted in ancient Greece has become a portrait of the way in which it should be conducted, and set a standard around the Western world for years to come. Despite war being one of the most immoral, barbaric, and most appalling of all human creations, the Greeks did the impossible, by successfully portraying war as something of beauty, patriotism, freedom and self-sacrifice.
The extent to which each country would go, also known as brinkmanship, was shown and scared everyone as mutually assured destruction was the policy of both countries. The USA also involved itself in the Vietnam War, which caused large death tolls and massive protests, with a third of Americans believing entering the war was a mistake (Vietnam War). Eventually the Cold War would die down, but not before taking millions of lives and ruining other countries, not just
I could choose to pretend it had little or no affect on me, but that would be unwise. I acknowledge that this date forever changed not only me, but all of mankind for several generations to follow. It is eloquent to declare that painful circumstances compel us to be better, but I am left wondering where the truth lies within that statement. For I believe that after we outlive an unforgettable tragedy, there is a process that trails the disaster. Certain victims of life’s battles will reach the finish line, while others become weak and stumble and fall before completing the progression.
Eastern Europe and East Asia were effected extremely by World War II. Many different Wars left the nations in ruins. Economically and socially the results were tragic. But no nation was more devastated than Eastern Europe. Eastern Europe, including both the small Eastern nations and Russia, were absolutely devastated by war.
When I hear the word war, the things that first come out in my mind were destructions, deaths, famine, guns and terrors. If we are going to look back in our history, a lot of wars had happened. One of those was “the bombing of Pearl Harbor drew ire of the people of the United States. The bombing was regarded as treacherous, and it was just a matter of time that the Americans would declare war against Japan.” (Muhi and Maguigad 169) The US – Japan war was one of the most known destructive wars. It greatly affects the life of the Japanese and the other nationalist because the missile that was launched emits radiation which affects lots of people.
Climate of Denial Analysis Al Gore's article Climate of Denial provides the general public with a horrifying true story on how we as a collective people are working in unison to slowly destroy our planet. It is not one single person's fault, it takes the power of many to pollute this planet. Gore just touches on the base of some issues like, how the media is controlled by the rich who often times happen to be corrupt politicians trying to pass on misleading information for personal gain. He also includes the shocking effects of Global warming that have already occurred and President Obama's fleeting effort to put a stop to it all. There is no doubt that the effects of global warming are right in front of the faces of the public but most
The shocking images of helplessness, devastation, and unrest in the world’s most powerful country circulated the world minutes after the 9/11 attacks. The United States was supposed to be everyone’s shoulder to lean on, but was proven vulnerable by Al-Qaeda, a militant Islamist organization founded by Osama bin Laden. The Bush administration saw no other way but to immediately fight back in the Middle East and prove to the world that America is indeed, a superpower. The effects of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars have been tremendous. Not only for the innocent civilians in Iraq and Afghanistan who are subject to the violence, but also for the United States veterans who are left scarred for life.
