We must be patient and be able to tolerate varying amounts of floundering, confusion and false starts. We also must allow the individual to take their time to discover their own solutions while being honest with them without being judgemental. If for instance, an individual is showing lack of progress, we need to continue to motivate them and empower them to help themselves. The individual will be experiencing low self-esteem in these circumstances and we need to remind them of past successes. If progress is being made, we need to continue to encourage them and congratulate their progress.
It is my hope that through the learnt therapies I will be able to provide my clients with a greater understanding of their feelings and behavior and the help I can give them will hopefully lead to the client living a more fulfilled and meaningful life without the need for constant support. I have always had the ability to put myself in other people’s shoes and I am told I am an excellent listener. I do believe that no one knows what’s best for us than us, we are all unique and all need to find our own way but sometimes we need some help and guidance doing this when it feels too much or when maybe we can’t see a way out. This course and hopefully the following level 5 diploma will really help me hone my therapist skills and give all of the knowledge and skills to best support and guide my clients.
In the Pursuit of Perfect by Tal Ben-Shahar, he sheds some light into the possibility of obtaining a happy life even with the struggles and challenges that may come our way. It is how we tackle these obstacles and avoid being a perfectionist and adopting an Optimalistic approach. Tal Ben-Shahar provides a step-by-step process to conquer the fear of failure and by taking these tools we learn and apply them to our love life and our lives in general. Failure is a word that most of us don’t want to hear or even experience. We do everything we can to steer away from failing by putting a ton of pressure on ourselves, creating intense anxiety and ultimately being unhappy.
How can someone pursue Zander’s leadership suggestions while meeting the conditions of authentic and servant leadership? Zander’s current leadership goes along with authentic, because of the optimism, hope, and resilience that is needed for authentic leadership. He is willing to take risks in order to succeed, he is hopefully that the product will succeed to his customers and if he does not succeed he has resilience to bounce back from the failure. Servant leadership helps people discover their spirit, earning and keeping trust and demonstrates successful listening and service over self-interest. 3.
I would like to dive in and learn more about how to be a successful arguer whether it is traditional style or consensual style. It caught my interest because I would like to get people to side with my opinions and views on certain issues rather than sitting back and letting people control my stances. Standing out and becoming a
It’s hard to be nice, show concern, and respect people’s feelings when customers are screaming, yelling, being disrespectful and flat out being rude, and it makes my job very difficult. It literally takes all my strength not to retort back with equally profane words; while controlling emotions when people are screaming profanity, talking at you, or personally attacking you. This is a cruel way to spend a day at work. (I swear people grow nerves of steel when they get on the phone.) I want to help people, but I don’t want to deal with angry, difficult customers over the phone any longer.
The patient must understand that is the key to becoming a fully functional human being. It is imperative to seek happiness from within versus being overly concerned about the opinions of others. To reach one’s inherent potentialities, one cannot live in fear or according to preconceived plans or ideas of others. He or she has to be his/ her own person, expressing his/her own ideas, and doing what he/she wants to without conforming to the standards and belief of others. Ultimately, one must realize his/her uniqueness, build self-confidence, and not be afraid to go against the grain.
Be positive with yourself always. If you come up against disappointment, remain positive, and problem-solve with yourself to find another way for you to reach your goal. Being creative and positive will help build your self-confidence. As your self-confidence grows, you'll find your belief in abilities will grow as well. The ability to believe in yourself will make you a success in whatever you try to do.
Unfortunately, not everyone gets to experience its wonders. That does not mean it does not exist. I will be explaining why love is so difficult to come by in the society we live in today: as well as clarifying why I am such a firm believer in true love. In hope that my opinion will have a positive impact on every non-believer that reads my essay. I will be starting off with the expectations we have of true love, with some examples.
There will always be negative and positive views of the corrections system from the public. Personally, I feel that prisons are needed to keep the community safe. Is the community always safe? No. The public will always have a fear of prisons and also being unsafe due to the rise of crime.
