COMPUTER AID INTERNATIONAL: The Computer Aid International is a is a project focusing on ICT’s in education, this goes back to the focus of the MDG’s focusing on the right to education as a vital input that could lead to alleviating poverty, gender equality issues and health. Computer Aid International is a non-profit organisation active in the field of Information and Communication Technologies for Development. The registered charity, Computer Aid was founded in 1998 to bridge the digital divide by providing refurbished PCs from the UK to educational and non-profit organisations in developing countries. Supplying over 40 rural hospitals in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda with digital cameras, computers, printers and scanners and provides training and technical support. The project enables doctors and nurses in remote rural areas to access specialist clinical support diagnosis improving healthcare in rural communities.
