It is also the belief that one’s race is superior over another race and the superior race believes that they have the right to rule over or have control of the less superior race. Racism is a wide discussion throughout the United States, and the events associated with it. Examples include Martin Luther King, Jr. and Rosa Parks. However, bigotry occurs when one person has a complete intolerance for another person and the only reason simply because there is a difference of race. A bigot may not tolerate any religion, belief, or political views different from their own.

Hate crimes affect the victim as well as the community. People commit hate crimes for various reasons; they are unwelcoming of those who aren’t of the same characteristics per se. They feel the need to bully those who they feel are beneath them to compensate for their own short comings. Hate crimes affect individuals from all walks of life. Including but not limited to those of religious, race, and sexual orientation.
Individuals have also made good arguments about the negative outcome that racial profiling might bring to our society. Obviously it has led the dominant race to have superiority to the minorities – racial discrimination. James Zogby, the president of the Arab-American Institute have made a point that he have seen a lot of dark skinned people being searched and treated with humiliation, which is really wrong – Racial Relations. David Harris, a writer and Professor at Toledo College, have already written a couple of books about racial profiling. He states that law enforcers think that they would be more accurate in targeting a suspicious group, but in reality, what happens is the total opposite wherein officials have inaccurate results in targeting the suspect—Race Relations.
Every race has people that are discriminatory and this includes groups lime the black panthers other African supremacy groups are just as guilty in the category if racist groups as the KKK. The problem with hate groups are that they skew views people have about other races causing them to themselves become racist subconsciously. Studies have taken place at Stanford university as well as the university at California berkley that have studied racism and subconscious racism are still a very prominent aspect of humanity. Part of the problem in the unsuccessful attempts to kill racism is that there are people who don't admit that it's real anymore. Acceptance is a viable part if repentance.
Ethnic Notions The film Ethnic Notions showed the harsh realities of racism in America from as far back as slavery to the civil rights era as it pertained to oppression. Oppression in its most basic form is “to exercise harsh dominion over, to be weighed down” per the dictionary. However, this is at the physical level, but as Sandra Lee Bartky expresses there is a psychological oppression which has the same weighing down on the mind. There is also the oppression that comes from the stereotyping as well as sexual objectification. These ideas were clearly demonstrated in the film.
Most people surely would be enthusiastic to start their life after high school knowing they’ve done their best in order to be able to attend the college or university of their choice. A high school student passes their high school years working hard to earn their grades and G.P.A in order to have a successful high school life. Most students work hard throughout high school knowing what college or university they would like to attend once they graduate. Students don’t know that getting into one of these universities might be easier than they thought. Because of affirmative action public colleges must have diversity in them.
Most of people are confusing about their race and ethnicity. According to “Talking Past Each Other: Black and White Languages of Race,” Blauner, Bob, the interpretation of race was racism as a result,” in the sense, an institution or an occupation is racist simply because racial minorities are under repented in numbers or in positions of prestige and authority. But White saw racism largely as a thing of the past. They defined it in terms of segregation and lynching, explicit white supremacist belief, or double standards, in hiring, promotion and admission to colleges or institution’s. But the Kernet Commission identified ‘white racism,” as a prime reality of American society and the major underlying cause of ghetto unrests.
Adversely, racism has and will continue to have a negative impact on the average American’s opportunity with regard to education, jobs, scholarships or government, just to name a few. This continuing action has most definitely influenced the overall way of life as well as how Americans interact with one
