ESTABLISHING AN INDIVIDUAL’S MORAL THOUGHT PROCESS CAPABILITIES IS VITAL BECAUSE AS HUMAN BEINGS THERE IS A SOLID PROPENSITY REGARDING BIGOTRY, SELFISHNESS, AND SELF-ABSORPTION. IN MANY INSTANCES, PROFESSIONAL ETHICS IN ORGANIZATIONS CONFLICTS WITH HIS OR HER PERSONAL ETHICS. PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL VIEWS FROM MY PERSONAL ETHICAL PERSPECTIVE, IT IS A DUTY OR AN OBLIGATION TO DO EVERYTHING WITHIN HIS OR HER POWER TO STRIVE TO DO WHAT IS RIGHT. PERSONAL ETHICS STRUCTURE PERSONAL DECISIONS AND BEHAVIORS, AND PROVIDE A GUIDE POST FOR MORAL ACTIONS (RUGGIERO, 2008).

ETHICAL LENS INVENTORY Ethical lens Inventory is used as a way to identify what values are more important to us as an individual.The inventory allows us to see ethical issues clearly whenever we have ethical dilemma without clear option/choice and it also helps to learn how to resolve them better.People have different priorities and different values helps to respect each others point of views. There are four primary ethical perspectives. Two of them are to help us to determine using Rationality(critical thinking ) are: 1)Rights&Responsibility Lens:you use your rationality to how to live with universal rules. 2)Relationship Lens:Its about equality of community so that everybody gets treated fairly. The other two of the ethical lenses are using your Sensibility (Intuition) which means using your intuition and emotions for our behavior to be ethical are : 1)Results Lens:using your sensibility to decide your decisions which will make you happy and adds more happiness to your life.
To ensure that we are performing to the best of our abilities we have to maintain our skill set. If someone comes up with a better way to do things CPAs should be open to the information and not just stuck in the way things have always been done (Mintz & Morris, 2011, Chapter Chapter 1). Reading the principles you can see that they talk about the others within their explanations, but in order to provide the best service to clients understanding the responsibilities, making sure our integrity is always intact, and maintaining our due diligence (care) in always presenting the best products should be the most important. It says that my gift is compassion and that is true because I am compassionate about the things I want and am trying to accomplish in life and I show compassion towards others and their problems. The Ethical Lens said that I define an ethical person as one with sound character traits and habits of thoughtful reflection. It also said that I believe that those who demonstrate strong leadership in their roles and who encourage others to do the same exemplify ethical behavior. I would have to agree with this assessment because I definitely expect others to display this type of ethical behavior. Though I know this is expected of people, I am however, not nieve to how people can really be.
However, I am starting to comprehend her point of view and see things through her perspective more clearly (especially after watching her interview with Mike Wallace). I believe that the virtues Rand thinks are central to an ethical human being make sense and definitely contribute positively to the ethical conduct of a person. One of Rand’s opinions is that reason is the only right to action. She has strong beliefs in reason and also thinks that reason should be the only way to function for an ethical human being. In this case, I agree with her partially.
The Ethical Lens Inventory also implies that my blind spot is that I believe that motive justifies method. It says that I may unintentionally cause people upset and pain because I am so focused on my good motive, and that I tend to believe that ethnics is a set of universal rules that everyone should follow, just as I do. I believe that my strengths are that I will always perform my duties to satisfy the goal of my employer on my own and without supervision. I’m not dependent on a team or group. I feel my weaknesses would be that I may come across to others as bossy and everyone will be held
This means that I am, “Closely aligned on obligation and not on results” (Williams Institute for Ethics and Management, 2003). I actually do agree with the result based on personal observation. Although this is the case for the primary precepts, the secondary precepts are flexible enough accommodate for different people and different situations. The primary precepts can be interpreted to fit in with the time and practices. The natural law is based on our innate ability to reason and it is believed we all have the same ideas of morality within us (out conscience). This means that natural law offers a universal moral code that is for the best of the whole society that can be accessed by everyone.
