These root causes are Carl Robins and ABC, Inc. Carl may have exaggerated his qualifications prior to hiring. Additionally, according to the timeline presented, it would seem that Mr. Robins is disorganized and lacks the initiative to follow through. Additionally, Carl Robin’s attention to detail and lack of effective time management skills are severely lacking. Mr. Robin’s also should have informed ABC, Inc. that he was struggling to make progress on his assigned task. One must ask, Did ABC Inc. provide proper training to Mr. Robins
The Language Police Throughout “The Language Police,” the angered author, Diane Ravitch, speaks her mind on the issue of censorship. Censorship shelters students from the real world and gives them a false sense of reality. Ravitch believes that students are being censored to such an extreme that their freedom is being limited. The goal of the language police is not just to stop us from using objectionable words but to stop us from having objectionable thoughts (Ravitch 158). The language police are restricting what students learn by removing anything that may appear controversial.

Whether it be budget cuts leading to loss of hours or layoffs, lower stocks percentages for the shareholders or it can even change things positively, and require more production of hiring. Either way, when issues come up and things change, it is important to keep everyone involved well informed and made in the best interest of those directly affected. In the business world, corporations have a responsibility to the employees as well as the stakeholders to be ethical in their decision making by staying true to their beliefs and behavior to society. When unethical decisions are made, everyone involved in the corporation and its well being are affected in a negative way and will jeopardize the well being of the business.
As Sainsbury's have a hierarchical structure they are most likely to lose a lot of money because for the marketing and research and development departments to carry out their functions they would need funding from the finance department. For this information to get to the finance department a lot of time would have been wasted and also for the finance department to reply to them, all this would cost them a lot of money. Advantages of Sainsbury's is that the power they have would be successful for the business as when work is being done the communication of the workers together when given commands from the manager and having to work better for the manager to impress them in order for more work to be done and at a more well-organized rate then if there was no pressure from the manager. Disadvantages would be that the workers would start to get stressed from having to complete the workload at too fast a pace for them to work at all times that they will start to work less and dislike there job and some days may not want to work as they are stressed to do work which is too much for them to cope as they are trying too hard to impress, this could lead to employees wanting to quit their job. Advantages are that when having to complete work set out by the manager to the employees it can be done efficiently so that the manager will be able to assess the employee and they could get a promotion to a higher part of their job.
In other words, Sandel describes it as the idea of encouraging the gifted to utilize their talents to reap rewards for the community as a whole. This is also a philosophy that I agree with, and once again it is a philosophy that shows how unjust these employers are to hire illegal workers. These employers are using their status and gifts to reap profits solely for themselves and their companies and certainly not to benefit these illegal immigrants as they are being exploited. The employers are certainly not working for the betterment of the least advantaged, which is once again evident in the fact that many of them don’t offer safety regulations or job benefits. While this is not the case for every single U.S. employer who hires illegal immigrants, I do strongly believe, supported by statistics, that these are the major reasons why most employers hire them.
In this case, they question why not give them some sort of payment to help aide the harsh student expenses they are forced to pay? Advertisement, commonly viewed as a way to promote a product, is more than what it seems. In the present day, critics view advertisements as a propaganda that guides the audience the wrong direction. Mr. Schrank suggest that some people who watch advertisements are vulnerable to the “ad’s attacks.”(Doc. E) However, I disagree, advertisements are informative to our daily lives; without them our world would probably fall apart. They do just more than promote a product; an advertisement helps wage for jobs, educate people, and also explains how to make our lives better.
Can we really raise children to be moral if we discipline children immorally? The way we discipline our children determines the way they understand what they did wrong, how they will behave in the future and how they will discipline their own children. Unfortunately much of what we do in the name of discipline is immoral and causes more harm than good. This is why bullying has been becoming a more serious problem. In the book "Lost in Transition: The Dark Side of Emerging Adulthood" by Christian Smith, he sheds light on why bullying may be on the rise.
