According to Edwin Locke, who is the author of Business Ethics: A Way Out of the Morass, ethics consists of rationality, honesty, integrity, independence, productivity, justice, forgiveness, and pride. Nowadays, ethics has become an important and essential issue in lots of aspects, especially in business. The presence of ethics contributes to equality in the business competitions, as well as successful transactions in trading market. Yet ethics has also become more complicated than ever. Recently, investigations have discovered a number of scandals in commercial companies, which are mostly related to the firm’s reliability and business competition. The reliability of a company is an important key for its development, on which the investors decide whether to corporate with the firm. Besides, competition among different companies also determines their success. In order to grow, the companies must have their own strategy to compete with each other; and here the ethical issues arise. DISCUSSION 1.
