In this paper we will discuss the roles of governmental regulatory agencies and its effects on the health care industry. Health care regulatory agencies have the responsibility to monitor health care practitioners and facilities. Health care regulatory agencies also provide information about any industry changes that may occur and they also take the role of promoting safety and ensuring that facilities are following the legal compliance that is set in place as well as quality services.   Health care regulatory agencies play an important role in the health care industry.

When it comes to health care regulatory agencies there are many agencies. There are federal, state and local regulatory agencies in which they all establish rules and regulations for the health care industry and then they must be the one who oversees these agencies to make sure that they are following all of the proper rules and regulations that have been set into place. There are also agencies that are for accreditation, which these are important because they can provide the health care facility with rankings or certifications.
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA), is a regulatory agency that is responsible for protecting the public health.
