1. What would your essential considerations be if you wanted to build and run a successful organization? Chapter 5 in the book An organization is an entity in which people work together in a shared environment and are engaged in tasks, directed and motivated to achieve the common goals! Taking into consideration the definition of an organization, it is obvious that the factors which affect are 1. People – organizational culture, the size of organization, hiring 2. Goal- the strategy and actions plans of organization 3. Environment - internal and external, workplace, industry These factors can be grouped into two categories as internal and external. Internal factors are management, employees, and culture. External factors are the forces surrounding the organization such as economic situation, technology, socio-culture and political environment. The successful organizations have good management! The management creates successful organizational culture by communication, and builds well defined and flexible organizational structure. In addition, the goals of the organization is very well stated, the strategy is clear, vision, mission, values are published. As well as above, the management adapts the changes, especially change in economical, technological, and political and socio cultural changes. In my opinion, internal factors determines if the organization will be successful or not because qualified management will lead the organization to deal with all challenges both internal and external.
