CHAPTER ONE In chapter one, Siddhartha learned that the love of his family would not always be enough to satisfy him. In order for him to lead a fulfilling life, he must venture out on his own and discover what really makes him happy, and what his life’s purpose is. In my life, I’ve learned that if your heart tells you that something you’re doing is morally wrong, do not do it by any means. I’ve been in way too many situations where I’ve regretted not listening to what my heart had to tell me. If you feel that something you’re doing could possibly be wrong, it is best to stop what you’re doing a really think about your choices CHAPTER TWO In chapter two, Siddhartha learned the ways of the Samanas, which is the group he chose to follow.
This is a new start of his heroic life. In our normal lives, we always have difficult times that discourage us and make us want to give up, but after we pass the difficult times we can learn something from it. We know how to solve the same problem next time, and prepare for the next
I think he didn’t let go because he still could see the hope in her eyes and hear the hope in her voice that she thought he would get better.. Even thou they want to go they still don’t want their love ones to suffer. We never want to let go of our love ones because it hurts. We have to do what is best for them and not us. We have to realize that they are the ones in pain and that they are just prolonging what they know is going to happen.
He decides that he is going to live his life by believing that he has no hands or eyes or senses, but that he just always believed that he had these things. By looking at things through this train of thought, he will protect himself from accepting any false beliefs to be true, ending the deceivers game of illusionist trickery. He is willing to accept this task although he is aware of how hard it is going to be to steer away from his former habitual opinions. It is evident that by the beginning of the second meditation Descartes has found himself shaken out of his comfort zone. Considering that he has decided to regard everything around him as false and an illusion concocted by this powerful demon, he is just left stuck in the middle of absolutely nothing.
The way he didn’t give up when he did not have to positive encouragement from his community is another reason why this piece stood out to me. It told me that even though that everyone will not be on the same page as you but you should not give up because you are making it count to not only you but someone else that may look up to you. Like when he goes to tell wife Michelle that he wants to quit she tells him that this project will be the most important thing they will ever do. She says that she understands that it will be hard and there will be a lot of sacrifices but she is willing to find out together. By his wife standing by his side willing to change all her ways made me believe that there is always someone there with you even if you don’t know
If we live our lives without faith they would be extremely lonely and unfulfilling, aspects of faith are all around us. We can specifically use it in our present mindsets, love and future. In order to be confident in the decisions you make you would have to know all the possible out comes of a situation and have everything perfect. The problem is we are not all knowing nor anywhere near perfect, but through faith we can trust those around us to help when mistakes are made. In keeping a faithfully open mindset relationships are built, you may even feel love.
‘but now, like a swarm returning to the hive’ he must remember the reasons why he is still here, why he must work and why he must support his family stopping him, and every other man that has dreamed of doing the same, from leaving behind the wretched world of labour and poor reward. With this the poet succeeds in to the reader because we all have dreams we want to fulfil, things we want to do but the honest ones of us don’t leave our duties behind for someone else to clean-up; But, we have dreams which keep us going though tough circumstances no matter how unlikely they are to come true. So his dreams ‘sail’ back to where they belong while he is at work. In the ‘black eaves’ of the back of his mind. ‘My heart turns to its melancholy work’ has been very carefully worded.
If a person continues to deny what God has for them, then their lives will not be happy. “When we take things into our own hands, we have the feeling of being in control. But what or whom do we really control.” (Anderson, 2003, p. 281) There is one problem with someone who is rebellious. They will not want to hear any truths or be shown anything in their lives that they may need to work on. They may think that they are happy and that their lives are going along well, but they will soon find out that they are wrong.
Most often people know that they must always try to follow their own dream, and take their own path, they must not just go with the flow, but do what makes them happy, for if they must follow, they must be able to handle the consequences as well. The green light means hope for most, but money for Gatsby which leads to an astonishing ending of his life showing that the American dream can also tear apart one’s life. The valley of ashes divides the old from new, and shows how you must follow your dream to stay with your own train of thought, because if one must follow another ones path, then risk will follow as well. Doctor T.J. Ekleburg is out looking for all but sees that the American dream causes destruction, and chaos because everyone wants to obtain it, but no one can see the
One has to think what helps and worrying does not help what helps doing something about it to make it better does. Life can be an ongoing battle however if you are not winning you are losing there is no cruising and that with everything else in life like a relationship either you are growing or dying so grow for the sake of growing you only live once. Life is gift do not waste it there can be good and times and bad times but as long we continue the good fight we are on the right track. Please do not waste time on what you have done, or did not do, should have done, or things around that
