For me, if I’m stressing and I can’t go for a jog or do some yoga, I’ll just put some happy music on and then I seem to forget about what was stressing me out in the first place. Music seems to also cheer me up. Listening to my favorite songs is an easy way to brighten up my day. In a tough situation, I would listen to music because it’s the most convenient way to relieve stress. I like the tennis strategy more, but it’s not always the best thing to get up and go outside. Listening to music can be done in any situation.
She states that now that she is older, she still tries her best to take care of her body by going to the gym 2-3 times a week but this activity takes more out of her than before. She notices that the things that she used to do before now take a lot more energy and effort. However, she keeps very active and one of her passions is participating in walk a thons throughout the year. This she says helps in keeping her fit. She enjoys taking Salsa dancing classes and is also attending college part time to obtain her bachelor degree.

There was only a simple law, and that was to not read books as well as think, making “the mind drink less and less.” This doesn’t seem much of a sacrifice because society was filled with far more excitement than literature could offer. Meanwhile, new technology helped people do everyday chores and made life simpler, leaving more time for fun. Like Beatty said, “Life is immediate, the job counts, and pleasure lies all about after work.” Entertainment ruled their society. The parlor walls seem like a god compared to our TVs. The seashell radios are convenience at its best.
The song Now in Our Lives is more relaxed and romantic compared to his other quick, strong be-bop songs. The majority of the song consists of low, sluggish melodies. However, there are many parts throughout the song that have many fast notes played. There are quite a few changes in rhythm throughout the piece which stimulates the piece. There’s a nice piano, bass and drum accompaniment that help to establish the laid-back feel of the music.
Suggestions for Improvement – Variables that might have influenced the outcome of my experiment were how fast or vigorous a person was dancing compared to another, someone’s motivation to squeeze the clothes pin more than others, and the amount of time each person rested before squeezing clothes pins for the first time. Suggestions for Further Research – My suggestions for other investigations that could be done to further support my findings or to answer any new questions that came up during this experiment are to warily time the amount of time the tested students were resting before squeezing the clothes pins and to have all ten students dance in the same way and pace as everyone else to have more control in this
Although there are countless forms of exercise, walking is great because it can be done with minimal equipment. The advantages to selecting walking, as your exercise is that walking can be done prior to leaving for work, during a lunch break, or after work. Additionally, it does not require purchasing any special equipment, obtaining any type of gym membership, or the participation of others to complete it. These are only a few strategies to consider but there are many others that can help the healthcare worker eliminate compassion fatigue. What has to be realized is that the simpler the strategy the more likely it will to be implemented.
In the video, the dance looked like it was very easy to execute but having already been in the technique class all year, it is amazing to know that doing the movements correctly is actually difficult. May O’Donnell constructs her pieces with the use of spacial structure. She organizes her dancers so that different groups are spread out differently throughout the stage and at times she uses all dancers in one singular spacial structure, like a diagonal. She changes the organization on stage frequently so that the audience would be constantly captivated by the rapid action on stage. She also uses many other choreographic tools to keep the attention of the audience and bring contrast to her piece.
