Now it’s time to do the mixing!! Gather all of your ingredients for the crust and a large mixing bowl. The first step is to add 2 cups of sifted flour into the large mixing bowl along with 1 cup butter flavored shortening. A) Added 5 grams of sugar to the 250ml graduated cylinder and then added water up to the 250ml mark. Placed a small piece of plastic wrap over the top of the graduated cylinder and mixed the sugar with the water. Then poured the contents into a small saucepan over the stove. Filled the graduated cylinder up to the 250ml mark again and then poured the tap water into the saucepan as well. Heated the mixture on the stove and stirred until the sugar has dissolved.
