I think by having a random selection it allows the students to use their communication skills with one another. But on the other hand you would like to live with someone that respects your belongs and you feel some what comfortable. Not being matched with the same person can give you and that person time to bond and learn different things about one another. For example, if you rooming with the popular cheerleader, or and artistic student on campus, you may find out that you have more things in common than you think you do, and they may not be the person you thought they were. The presence of others affects our behaviors through influence. Peer pressure being the best example of this. Through peer pressure our peers influence us by encouraging use to change our attitudes, behaviors, and beliefs in order for us to conform to the group norm. A person who is influenced by peer pressure may not want to actually be a part of the groups or associate with them and as such change their behavior accordingly to the group behavior when around that group. A person may change his or her attitudes and behaviors when around social groups in order to feel accepted even if they don’t particularly believe in the group behaviors.
Also I may lack skills or knowledge to be aware of what else you should be doing or other ways in which I might work. Once people start going out together the next filter is the similarity of attitudes and values. When people share similar attitudes and beliefs it makes communication easier and enable the relationship to progress. The strengths and limitations of using group interviews for investigating social class differences in university entrance. When using group interviews a lot of difference factors can influence a person’s choice about going into university. I will be looking at one of the main factors which is social class. When having group interviews about social class different things can influence what people say. I will assess this in my essay.
