Does this really have good nutrients? This is something that many people ask themselves everyday at the store. Everyone wants to stay fit and have a healthy body, but what we eat isn’t always what it seems. Many people who try to stay fit buy healthy foods with lots of nutrients, but these foods are turning out not to be as great of food as what we thought. People who buy these healthy foods are spending a lot more money on food that also doesn’t always have as many benefits as conventional foods. Many people want buy organic foods, but need to stay clear of it because of its high price. Many products that are labeled organic can be charged for two times more than the conventional foods. Many say that it is very unhealthy and has a lot of pesticides that could hurt your body. “For instance, organic fruits, vegetables and other crops must not have been treated with synthetic fertilizers, certain pesticides or sewage sludge,” (Cernansky). When people are buying their food they want to know that it won’t hurt them and that it is beneficial, so many people buy organic. Even though buying organic foods might sound like it is helping you stay healthy it is not always the best choice. Many organic foods have high price tags which isn’t very pleasing to some people. Also conventional foods are being found that the pesticides and fertilizer used in them is at safe levels and won’t harm you at all. “The pesticide content will be higher with conventional produce, but it’s still at safe levels.” (Lazarus). This shows how some foods that aren’t marked as organic can still be just as healthy as organic foods that are twice the price of the cheaper
