My Memory of Happiness The time where I felt the most happy was when I found out my mom was pregnant. My parents went to go get an ultrasound and I was surprised they actually took me along because I was only eight years old at the time and they usually did not take me to doctor visits unless they absolutely had to you. I was playing my DS in the car on they way to the doctor’s office and I thought about where we were going, but I could not make out the exact reason why we were going or what we were going for. We got to Doctor Odem’s office at Washington University and I started to have a couple of thoughts on why we were here now, but I still was not completely sure. I was thinking to myself like why are they making me do this, so I got out my DS again and started playing. Three minutes had not even passed yet and the doctor came in and like a couple of seconds later my parents told me to come here and I could not believe what I was seeing; a little peanut on the screen. I yelled in an excited way, “Holy crap mom, you're pregnant!” The doctor and my parents laughed and at that moment I had so many questions to ask, but my number one question was, “Is it a boy or a girl?” They did not tell me why and said we will have to wait and see. I was so excited and I was just in shock because I mean this will be the happiest change in my life having a sibling running around the house. I was nervous and a little scared because I was worried about the baby because well this a new thing for me and I wanted everything to go okay for the baby and my mom. That summer was hard though because my having her mood swings and I understand those are natural during pregnancy, but like I said I was only eight and did not understand much.
