Introduction: Today the digital world has become a place where people young and old and do numerous activities, like sulking on the phone while chatting, giving out assignments to a number of people in a short amount of time, searching for information efficiently and more, but little do we know that besides the positive impacts stated above, social media can also bring negative impacts in our daily lives. Perspectives: Global Social media is the worldwide accessibility to the internet which comes in many forms, including blogs, forums, business networks, photo-sharing platforms, social gaming, microblogs, chat apps, and last but not least social networks which are reshaping the world as we know it. According to research, the number of worldwide users is expected to reach some 2.95 billion by 2020, around a third of Earth’s entire population. An estimated 650 million of these users are from China and approximately a third of a million from India. The region with the highest number of social networks is North America, where around 60 percent of the population has at least one social account. As of 2016, 78 percent of the United States population had a social networking profile. Despite the ubiquity of social networks, market potential is still increasing not only by user figures but also by user engagement that continues to grow.
