The experience of pregnancy and the feeling of postpartum life are unique for every woman. The culture is showing that becoming a mother of a baby is the happiest time in a woman’s life. Every woman should know and understand what is prenatal mental health. The society should provide the support and information to all the pregnant women. “Women were afraid of two things: to die during childbirth and that something should happen to the baby during childbirth.

This had obviously been very difficult time and I was aware that the birth of a new baby within the family may have come with mixed emotions. SCENARIO Prior to the visit I had received a telephone handover from the new Mother’s midwife, who had explained this had been an uneventful pregnancy and straight forward delivery. However her sister had very recently given birth, which had tragically resulted in the baby dying shortly afterwards. The midwife explained this had created anxieties about her new baby and that whilst she appeared to doing okay it was something to be mindful of. This highlights again the importance of collaborative working and effective handovers ( ).

Lots and lots of babies in this time period. Pregnancies started young, and often came back to back not allowing mothers to have much time to heal from the previous. This movie portrays it as Loretta Lynn has her first early in her marriage to Oliver and having four children by the age of twenty (20). This is definitely a stand true stereotype that I can understand. Working in the emergency department of our local hospital, I see so many young girls ranging from fourteen (14) and older having babies while still being babies themselves.
Their first attempt at lovemaking leaves Bella with bruises and Edward with a guilty conscience, but she keeps pressing him, so they try again. Days later, Bella realizes that she is pregnant, and that her baby-bump is growing at an unnatural rate. It is the wedding day of Bella, Alice is putting on makeup for Bella and Rosalie is doing her hair, in terms of cinematography and editing; editing has been done in a rhythm of consistency and continuous order to tell a clear story. For example, the camera shot is always cut to the person who is talking or in focus of an expression on the face. After Alice has done her makeup, the camera shot cuts to Alice holding Bella’s white wedding dress on one side of the room when she exclaimed, “here’s the dress!” then immediately cuts back to the other side of the room to show the exclaim from the mother.
Just like most of the pregnant woman feel, the poet sees her unborn child as her world. This line could also mean that by creating life she is giving her child the world. The idea that to give life is to give the world is further expressed when she says, "all the world you hear and see hung upon my dreaming blood". The next paragraph describes the beginning of pregnancy when the mother and child are in the first stages of their relationship. The poet feels a great sense of power in this new relationship, and she compares her
Eloisa Morales English 1301 March 22, 2011 Pros and Cons on Breastfeeding We have all heard “breast milk” is best, however as our society changes and as time constraints mothers go for convenience verses what is best. Within the past century more women have left the home and gone back to work, making breastfeeding less common. The need to reeducate and encourage women to breastfeed is imperative, but the choice is still ultimately the mothers. Breastfeeding has many pluses, the bond created between mother and baby is very special. Abortion is the termination of the entire pregnancy yet selective reduction is performed to improve the survival rate of the remaining fetuses and also the mother. Selective reduction is performed early in the pregnancy, normally between weeks 9 and 12, it is most often performed when there are four or more fetuses present, can be used to reduce triplets to twins, and with a fetus with severe defects (www.webmd.com). Infants born part of a multiple pregnancy are at increased risk of prematurity, cerebral palsy, learning disabilities, slow language development, behavioral difficulties, chronic lung disease, and death (Multifetal Pregnancy Reduction, 2013). These risks play an important role in a mother’s decision to utilize selective reduction. Maternal risks of a multi-fetal pregnancy include hypertension, preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, and postpartum hemorrhage (Multifetal Pregnancy Reduction, 2013).
It has made me a strong person, it has helped me overcome negative people, and it has made me prepare for future challenges. When I pregnant with my daughter Carolina, who’s now 12years old, I was told that it would be a risky pregnancy because the baby was breach and was having a hard time breathing inside my body. For this reason, I had to have a C-section immediately since the baby would have choked on the umbilical cord. I was in a lot of pain after the operation and I was very mad that I couldn’t have a natural childbirth, but as a mother, I did what had to be done to have a healthy child. The second moment in my life where I faced difficulty- was in my marriage.
