Many obese people suffer from heart disease, diabetes and many other things. The sad part about this is that not only adults but children are overweight. McDonald is unhealthy food for kids, which has low nutrients and a lot of fat. This is a society issue to represent fast food. A vending machine for example is fast food which is bad for health.
David starts by teasing these overweight individuals that are bring a lawsuit against McDonalds, but then later admits that he used to be overweight as a child and was able to change his life around. He made a point to show health concerns with being obese and eating fast food regularly, such as type two diabetes which has risen about twenty-five percent since 1994. This raise in diabetes also requires much funding for the United States to spend to try to find a cure. David explains how there is very few alternatives for the youth of America because those health alternatives are more expensive and harder to find. False advertising is also another unpleasant practice that fast food companies use to lure in costumers.
By the age of 6 months a circadian rhythm is established and by the age of 1 year infants are usually sleeping mainly at night, with 1 or 2 naps during the day. The periods of deep sleep lengthen and there is a reduction in the amounts of active/REM sleep. Sleep patterns change during childhood and by the age of 5, children have EEG patterns that look like those of an adult but they are still sleeping more (around 12 hours a day) and having more REM activity (about 30% of total sleep time). Boys are also found to sleep slightly more than girls. As childhood progresses, the need for sleep decreases, but in adolescence it increases slightly, to around 9 or 10 hours a night.
They state that if people eat more, they just need to work out more to burn their extra calories. They seem to focus on self-control to keep their life healthy. In her article, “eat more, weight less”, Sarah represents her way to loss pounds by eating more than usual. Her nutritionist suggests her to eat more but she has many small meals through a day. She also has a strict plan for yoga, workout and weight training.
While many parents claim that they know there children’s sleeping patterns and make sure they get enough sleep, more than one half (56%) of adolescents say they get less sleep than recommended. Many teens claim they get to bed on time but the quality of sleep is horrible. Many factors contribute to this weather
Personalized Nutrition and Exercise Plan Mary J House University of Phoenix Sci 241 September 5, 2012 Eating right and getting the proper amount of physical activity each day can be a lot harder to do than it seems. It is though entirely possible to eat right and have a good exercise regimen. It just takes having the tools and the willpower to put it into action and stick to it. I know that to be healthy I need to change the way I eat and get more exercise, and I now have the knowledge to do so. I now just need to muster up the courage and willpower to make some healthy changes to my diet and exercise routines.
Everyone can say that their fine with just a few hours of sleep, which in this case is not okay because my body and mind need a certain amount of sleep. Without sleep our mind will not be able to function as thriving as he or her want it to be. Even without enough sleep our body will not be healthy enough to function properly, particularly at an older age. Thus mean that for the generation now and in the future, its best to control the amount of sleep everyone gets for his or her own
They say ever since she has wanted healthier food in schools they started serving foods that do not look edible and gross. Many programs are trying to make healthier school lunches because it is the main cause for child obesity. The school lunches are super unhealthy for the kids because they have a lot of sodium, fat, and sugar. Schools should cut down on all the sweets they give the children also because that cause a lot of health problems. One of the main things schools need to do is to stop adding so much salt on to the meals because salt is super unhealthy.
I agree with Zinczenko on his critical viewpoint on how he looks at the fast food industry. Fast food is part of the blame because most of them are not healthy and are bad for consumers. The calories of a Big Mac, medium fry, and a medium Coke are almost equivalent to the daily intake of these industry’s consumers. Zinczenko uses the analogy of a simple salad we would assume is healthy. Our fast food industry needs to provide these nutritional facts in easy reach for their customers.
Americans are becoming comfortable with fast food and unhealthy choices. They have become too lazy to work off their bad choices in food so the effects keep adding up inside their body causing obesity. Obesity is the condition of being very fat or overweight. This is caused by the over consumption of food by many people. Most of us don’t have what we call, portion control, so we eat until we feel full causing our stomach to expand.
