Environmental Issues Of The World

The environment is a very important matter in the world. More humans should take the time to save and prevent pollution. For example there is a lot of different pollution, but the most important ones are water and air pollution. Air and water are needed for a living organism to survive on. Another thing that is hurting our ocean life is the building of artificial islands. Building the islands is harming ocean life and plants, as well as contributing to storm activity and climate change. Society needs to become more aware of the things which affect our environment and begin to take action on those events that occur outside of their own "back yard". Air pollution causes predicaments to the environment which living organisms live on. What causes air pollution is fossil fuels being burned, engine exhaust, and factories. All these air pollutants cause greenhouse gases, which causes damage to the air that is inhaled by society. With inhaling the polluted air, it damages a body's insides. For example, by creating a disease in the lungs or breathing complications. A greenhouse gas causes climate change in our environment. One of the biggest environmental impacts from fossil fuels and greenhouse gases are global warming. Global warming is mainly caused due to the trapping of heat in the atmosphere due to increased amounts of carbon dioxide. Because of the burning of fossil fuels, there has been a twenty five percent increase in the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere over the last 150 years. For example it causes hotter summer and warmer winters. It is dangerous for the temperature to rise at an extreme level because it results in increase of heat waves, hurricanes, and intense storms. Also the raise on greenhouse gases causes the seas to rise, which can be potentially treacherous. This is because it causes a flood which harms a person's life
