Rachel Carson: (1) born on May 27, 1907. (2) A prominent marine biologist (3) Carson published her story in the September 1918 issue of the St. Nicholas magazine. (4) In 1925 she graduated high school. (5) One of the first to notice the negative effects of fertilizers. (6) in the year 1932 she graduated from John Hopkins University receiving a bachelors degree. (7)The Edge of the Sea and The Sea Around Us were a biography of the ocean and made Carson famous as a naturalist and science writer for the public. (8) Rachel Carson taught at the University of Maryland for five years . (9) Joined the U.S. Fish and Wildlife service in 1936. (10) Rachel Carson died of cancer on April 14, 1964. John Muir: (1) John Muir was born April 21, 1838, in Dunbar, Scotland. (2) He moved to Fountain Lake, Wisconsin in 1849 with his family at age 11 from Scotland.
