Overall, I do not think that Washington and Monroe’s doctrine is usable today. The possibility or remaining isolationists was lost when America became a superpower. When that happened, other nations began to look up to America for assistance. Plus, the US want to be involved to help so that if they need help, other nations would be willing to help in return. The Monroe Doctrine states that the continents of North and South America should be able to develop without interference from the Europe.

Lily’s Day Nursery helps families and children feel welcoming when families are thinking about sending their children to the nursery as their website says that they “will do all that is practicable to meet your demands”, this helps families feel that their needs will be met and considered. Another example of a policy that helps promote fair strategies is a ‘valuing diversity and promoting equality’ policy, this policy includes ensuring that service is fully inclusive in meeting the needs of all children those who arise from their ethnic heritage, social and economic background, gender, and abilities. A nursery that argues that they promote diversity and equality within their setting is the Woodlands Nursery. On the Woodlands Nursery website they state that they “provide a secure and accessible environment in which all our children can flourish and in which all contributions
Local Government. The LEA's duty is to ensure a high standard of education for all children, including those with SEN. One main role they have is implement the policies set by the National Government and follow the curriculum they also set. They are responsible for things such as; catchment areas, funding for trips, free school meals, hiring the staff/maintenance staff/cleaners/caterers etc. When parents and/ or carers apply for a school for their child to attend, they may not always get in if they do not fit the criteria (catchment area). Therefore, the LEA has to deal with the appeals process.
She also implies that children are made to feel that they must not disappoint those who hold such high expectations and have provided them with all of the opportunities to become successful. In life, they compete with others to see who can achieve the most in terms of education, career, money and prestige. Quindlen implied that the perfect lives, at one time, clearly revolved around a good life and healthy
CHARACTER COUNTS: THE GREAT HOPE OF OUR SOCIETY JOSH WARD SIERRA MIDDLE SCHOOL MRS. HALL'S ACC. LANGUAGE ARTS Character Counts is not about the individual. Getting to know the person over a period of time I feel is vital, you can not push a relationship and must let it take it’s natural course whilst showing you understand the welfare needs of the individual and are able to put into practice those needs for the child. It is important in our setting that staff works consistently and all contribute to the Childs needs, we must all help the child with learning and development and ensure as staff we are saying and showing the same. Every child matters govern our principles and we are able to follow minimum care standards whilst following the child care act and working towards and with ofsted inspections and reg 33 visits. My experience suggests that you must have knowledge and understanding of the child, speaking to other professionals who are linked with the child to ensure you have all the relevant information enables you to do this. We must work as a team and share our experiences relating to that child.
They are mentors to their children that their quest is to lead their child to success. Hopefully if the child receives that type of support and guidance in their life, they will use it in the long run for their own good. The reason why I bring this up is because I believe that this is an important factor to the cause of what is happening to the public school system. Students need to be on the same pace as the teachers to receive positive outcomes for both sides. The public school system should actually study and listen to the students to gain ideas on how they can reverse the direction of where the public school system is heading.
It is therefore important that you examine your own attitudes and values to consider how these may impact on the way you work with children and young people. Children listen intently to others around them, both adults and other children and soak up all information given to them. The school must make sure that the children are surrounded with positive messages about their peers and their own importance in society. All children are individuals and have individual rights; however they are not the same. It is the policy, currently, to include all children in mainstream education so long as the curriculum can be adapted to suit an individual pupils needs.
Children learn best when they are healthy safe and secure and when their individual needs are met. Health and Safety at Work Act 1974- This legist ration places a duty on all employers to ensure as far as reasonably practicable the health, safety and welfare of all their employees. The act also requires safe operation and maintenance of the working environment. Children’s Act 1989 - This is the main piece of legislation on what children’s services are based upon. This act aims to improve children’s services by bringing together all professionals to work together as a team to make a difference to all children in care under the children’s act.
