He stays a victim of himself because of his transformation in to a bird. He displays regret and shameful behavior. The husband in “Jealous Husband Returns in Form of a Parrot” experiences difficulties in communication and being able to speak words
From this we can infer that both the bird and the boy are very frail and feeble. In the story, James Hurst illustrates that both the ibis and Doodle are fragile and weak, by making both the scarlet ibis and the boy innocent and vulnerable. The author does this describes the ibis’ feathers as flying everywhere and having loosely hung wings. Doodle on the other hand, cannot “get too excited, too hot, too cold, or too tired and that he must be treated gently” (p. 2, col. 1, lines. 22 – 23).
“‘It’s a scarlet ibis,’ he said, pointing to a picture. ‘It lives in the tropics- South America to Florida.’” (Hurst 353). By this time, the readers know the bird is not in the right area, much like Doodle, who is a physically disabled caul baby and is therefore considered different and special. Even in death, there is similarity between the boy and the bird. The narrator states when Doodle dies, “Limply, he fell backward onto the earth.
All that comes out from his mouth is this disgustingly cringing hissing sound that other bugs make. I find it hard to be in the same room as him knowing that he is nothing but an insect. I honestly do not think he even thinks like that of a human anymore or like that of the way he used to think. Gregor doesn't drink milk anymore. It used to be his favorite drink.
Its obvious with his behavior. He might of had something or did something that was embarrassing that stuck with him. I was embarrassed with some of the things i did back in middle school and how i came off to some people as a jerk or something like that. 9.8.09 I personally think that my father and I have the worst road rage, i get it from him, he doesnt get aggressive or anything he just yells and cuts people off and stuff, i unfortunately have received that trait and i try to control myself sometimes. 9.9.09 i wouldnt stay in a haunted house, i am a chicken when it comes down to that kind of stuff, i would lose my mind, mentally i wouldnt be able to handle it, 9.10.09 The movies 25th Hour and the Goal series movies are very emotional to me, the 25th hour is very sad and intense, Goal is very suspensful, sad, and inspirational, those are my favorite movies for sure.
William Golding shows this using one of the characters named Piggy. Piggy is the overweight kid who has asthma, wears glasses, and is way too smart for his own good. Since Piggy has so many flaws he is seen as an outcast and when he shows who he really is, he is brutally murdered by Roger, another boy on the island who doesn’t like Piggy. Not even in Lord of the Flies is anyone perfect, which is why in the novel two kids die. Comparing the quote by Nicholas Cage and Lord of the Flies you can easily see how you can always learn more from a flawed character instead of a perfect character.
He probably didn’t have his numbers up for how many flowers he had needed to pollinate that day. Or his nest had been destroyed. Better yet his wife ate all of their wasp kids even his favorite most agile son. Many would disagree and argue that wasps don’t have a frontal lobe, so out of natural selection you were at the wrong place and the wrong time and unfortunately got stung. What were you even doing wrong?

Morality is an extent to which an action is right or wrong. Throughout the story, Sykes shows his lack of morals. Sykes put a rope on Delia’s back knowing she hates spiders, snakes and bugs, which caused Delia to freak out. An example of Sykes lack of morals is, “If you such a big fool dat you got to have a fit over an earth worm or a string, ah don’t keer how bad ah skeer you” (705).
Children speculate and fabricate ideas as well as the adults do about Boo. Jem speculates to Dill, "Boo was about six and a half feet tall, there was a long jagged scar that ran across his face; what teeth he had were yellow and rotten; his eyes popped, and he drooled most of the time" (13). Boo Radley is not accepted nor does he fit into Maycomb so he is therefore punished by a society that is very judgmental. Another injustice confronted in “To Kill a Mockingbird,” is that of religious injustice. When Jem and Scout attend church with Calpurnia, Jem comments on the First Purchase Church, stating that, “On Sundays, the black worship, and white men gambled there on weekdays”.
