Andy gets mean with his co-workers again and again, and dominates and bullies them. Jane is having a conflict as to how to resolve this problem as she cannot fire Andy, because “of his numbers”. He is always right and is the best at his job. His main motive is that all the work is done effectively and timely, and when his co-workers slip a bit in doing their work, he lashes out at them and behaves rudely. His intenstions are correct but his delivery of expression is wrong.
Vereen M. Bell states, “Hindley cannot forgive Heathclff for unsurpuring the love of his father, so once he master of Wuthering Heights he sees that Heathcliff is methodically humiliated and degraded” (Bell). Catherine, however, accepted Heathcliff and liked him from when he first came to her house. She liked to spend time to him. She even began to love him, Catherine states that, “My love for Heathcliff resembles the eternal rocks beneath: a source of little visible delight, but necessary. Nelly, I am Heathcliff!
Sydney loves a young woman named so much that he dies to prevent her from having to life without the man that she loves, Charles Darnay. He disguises himself as the man as he takes the death penalty which was meant for Charles. This shows that Sydney is self-sacrificing, which is a trait that a noble hero would have. In conclusion, Sydney Carton from the novel A Tale of Two Cities and Albus Dumbledore from the Harry Potter series are selfless, and put others before them. Both give their lives to protect the people they care about.
Once he has worked through this painful healing process, Trueblood regains his ability to sing. With his soul cleansed and his spirit renewed, Trueblood returns to his family, seeks their forgiveness, and works to make the best of their tragic situation. After carefully considering his options and weighing the consequences, Trueblood refuses to allow his wife and daughter to obtain abortions, concluding that killing two innocent babies would only compound his sin. Trueblood is also a shrewd man who understands the workings of the white power structure, manipulating it to his advantage.
The man always thought his partner loved him back equally as much as he loved her, perceiving almost a perfect relationship to the reader. Not only do we come to the conclusion that she was unfaithful, we begin to wonder if what we know about the protagonist could be "deceiving". Second, Guy de Maupassant presents deception not only through the actions of the living, but also the dead. Later on in the story, the protagonist heads to the cemetery to spend the night weeping on his partners grave. Furthermore, one of the crosses at the cemetery said "Here lies Jacques Olivant, who died at the age of fifty-one.
Lennie is he’s responsibility. And since Lennie is he’s responsibility, it’s been getting him in trouble. Like running away from town and getting in to trouble in the ranch. Life is rough with Lennie. He always says how it’d be so much easier without Lennie in his life but he obviously knows he would do anything to protect him.
When Romeo kills Tybalt right after marrying Juliet, it is clear that he is still extremely loyal to his friends and family, even though he knew that Tybalt was Juliet’s cousin. His revenge killing was one of loyalty to his friend. It is clear from the beginning that Han’s loyalties lay with his father, especially after going to prison for him. By the end of the film however, it is clear that Han’s loyalties in his family and his people were misplaced. Although sad at his father’s suicide, he feels no guilt about killing Kai.
Hamlet – a 'noble' man? ACT 1 • GOOD Inspires devotion in his friends and subjects – Horatio & Marcellus follow Hamlet & are determined to protect him. BAD “I have that within which passes show, these but the trappings & the suits of woe” • Loyalty to his father's memory • Disgust at his mother & uncle's immorality “a beast that wants discourse of reason would have mourned longer” /// “oh most wicked speed, to post with such dexterity to incestuous sheets” • Remains respectful to Gertrude “I shall in all my best obey you madam” /// “It is not nor it cannot come to good, but break my heart for I must hold my tongue” [1st soliloquy – scene 2] • Certain that evil does not go unpunished on this earth “Foul deeds will rise, though all the earth o'erwhelm them, to men's eyes” “My lord he hath importuned me with love in honourable fashion” [Ophelia to Polonius] • Love for Ophelia is pure “It is a custom more honoured in the breach than the observance” • Disapproves of excessive drinking • Brave: willing to risk God's wrath to speak to his father one more time “I'll speak to it though hell itself should gape and bid me hold my peace” Is this evidence that Hamlet is good? Already we see that it is possible to corrupt Hamlet – he will risk doing the 'wrong' thing if it means easing his grief & psychological suffering. His actions in speaking to the ghost show extreme bravery (it could be the devil in disguise) but also a disregard for his own safety because he is already experiencing suicidal despair “I do not set my life at a pin's fee” and does not care if he lives or dies.

In Hamlet and The Kite Runner, both Hamlet and Amir are motivated by their ceaseless love for their father’s, illustrating the powerful bonds that can be created between father and son. After Hamlet’s father is brutally murdered by his uncle Claudius, his sole purpose in life becomes to avenge his father by getting revenge on his uncle. All of his actions are based
