Nurses know how care should be delivered. They can ensure smooth handoffs as the patient transitions through the continuum.

CULTURAL DIVERSITY IN THE WORKPLACE Cultural diversity in the workplace Lisa Long March 8, 2013 Devry University On any given day, the Oncology division where I work is caring for patients with varying types of cultural and ethical backgrounds. In this paper, I will review the importance in understanding cultural, ethical, and gender differences. I will stress the importance of these concepts in the care of our patients and also in fostering good working relationships with co-workers. The hospital where I am employed stresses that work colleagues be treated with the same respect and dignity as our patients.
