In order for me to get to this conversation with writing started I need to set aside all of my intimidation with writing and need for perfections aside just to get something even written down. What gets written down may not be the greatest, but no one really has a life changing conversation with someone that they just met anyways so my first draft of anything does not really have much high expectations. Once I get past that writing is not intimidating and that I am going to have a conversation with whoever might read this it becomes an easier process and outlook. Previously I’ve always thought of writing as something I always dreaded because it would suck the life out of me and usually bring my grade along with it, but as I have gotten older writing has become a part of my life and something I have changed my perspective on completely in a way that I look at it as something friendly, like a chat with a close friend. While I find myself not upset when I am not writing papers in class, if it were not for writing in general I might have to strain myself to not pick up my phone every five minutes just to send a text message or post
I began to see how negative scripts could cause problems. Before I journal about myself and my English is poor. I feel awkward but I will feel strong with my writing. I would like to continue writing an English diary, about the things I have thought about during the day, and if someone can give me suggestions about my English writing. It will be a good practice for me to brush up my English.
Who I Am As a Writer. The traditional model of the writing process includes brainstorming, outlining, writing, revising, editing, and then finally publishing. But not many people actually follow this burdensome process step-by-step, going through all of the six processes. I don't brainstorm on paper, this is because I like to get things done briskly. Although brainstorming is a critical process, I do it in my brain due to the fact that in my brain, I know what to write about right after I get my assignment.
According to Spandel (2009) it is a vision, a way students and teachers can think and talk about writing. Writing is different from other school subjects. In other school subjects students are suppose to study the same things and many times come up with the same solution. However in writing everyone’s response is suppose to be unique. The only way that this can be accomplished is if students make different choices when they write, choices about the topics they pick, the words they use, details they include and different beginning and ending strategies.

It is often found that students have the ability to read a given text, however, they are reading without the basis of understanding what they actually read. In essence, students are reading without a purpose. In an effort to help students build upon their comprehension skills, teachers should develop strategic activities that facilitate comprehension of narrative, expository and poetic texts. Strategic activities may include presentation of the text, vocabulary development, using graphic organizers, and/ or previewing the text.
I am having a hard time remembering what strategies I have used in the past to become a better writer. I do remember using outlines to do papers. Reading and
It helps me visualize what I am reading and helps me connect to whatever I am reading. I t also allows me to involve my feelings, curiosity and a way to escape from life’s distractions. When I am required to read, the first thing I would do is find a quiet place where there is no distractions. Reading is fundamental and it involves focusing on basic literary elements, artistic skills, aesthetic features, ideas, observations, contexts, and dilemmas that will be discovered as I read more. The Secret Life of Walter Mitty is a story, written by James Thurber.
The third step, in the writing process, is writing a rough draft. A rough draft is the first “complete” version of the piece. It will contain the ideas that the author wants to share, or a point they are trying to prove. Remember to keep the audience in mind while writing. This will eliminate any unnecessary information from cluttering the paper.
I talk to my friends in a different way than I should, so when I begin to write, I write what I’m use to speaking. This is another major problem I have in writing because I will never learn how to write proper English. My third goal is to focus and understand a piece of literature. In other words, if we begin to read an uninteresting book, I start to slack off and not pay any attention. I need to learn to get use to books that I never imagined me reading because I don’t have a choice but to do it.
Before I did any research for this assignment, I wanted to give my own reasons why I believe writing is essential to many, if not all aspects of life. My number one reason is for the stability of our future and the futures, after. I have never been great at writing. It is very difficult for me to properly, communicate my thoughts onto paper. I was not taught this where I live, here the educational system is a shame and is only getting worse.
