Employee relations helps develop policies around job screening, recruitment, compensation, mentoring and termination. Human resource professionals mainly handle employee relations. These individuals will develop solutions that support management roles. The most effective practices within employee relations include fair hiring practices, equal employment opportunities and documentation, and record keeping of employer actions as required law. Employee relations fall under the umbrella of human resources. Since every organization has a human resources department, every employer must manage employee relations to maintain consistency and productivity within its workforce. Employee relations analyze the relationship employees with their supervisors and with each other. (Human Resources Management, Pg.64) In exploring the corporate organizations, there is competition when it comes to employers having the best relations for their employees. However, there are also organizations, which have been proven not to be practicing good human relations with their shareholders. There are multiple fortune 500 companies to work for in the United Statues according to Fortune Magazine. Among them are Google.
