Employee Portfolio: Motivation Action Plan Brittany Hamilton MGT/311 Instructor: Dr. Judy Blando June 3, 2013 The three employees that I chose and thought would be best for this portfolio are three family members. The three employees names are as follows; John Hamilton (Husband), Jannie Rogers (mother) and Terry Rogers (Step Father). In each of these three employees portfolio I am to determine the motivational strategy or strategies that would be most appropriate for each employee. I am also to describe how the strategy would connect to one or motivational theories. First of all, I gave a few assessments to each of the three employees to determine how they feel about their job and if they are engaged in their work. The first employee is John Hamilton. The self assessment he took answered a few questions that was needed to know. He is semi satisfied with his job, and the strengths determine that he is very determined and very intelligent. His weaknesses determine that he has a problem with working long hours on his feet without a relief person. He is not engaged in his work in the least. He is determined but not happy. His main weakness is that he wishes he were making more money on a regular basis. His affect intensity is very high and he holds no emotional intelligence score. One thing that was a plus was that he is a deliberate decision maker. He makes the best decision for himself and the people around him. The second employee is Jannie Rogers. She is not happy but not disappointed about her work either. She was classified under satisfactory in this aspect. She is very engaged in her work because she knows that it pleases others. As of the time of the assessment she was very happy and content with her job. She has a very high affect intensity and her emotional intelligencs score was about normal. Also she is a very effective and deliberate decision
