A laisse-faire leader will allow his team to make their own decisions and determine their own approach to completing the task at hand. This also means that the team gets very little help or guidance from the leader. Some people prefer this style of leadership because they like to manage their own work, at their own pace, as well as being able to make their own decisions. But on the other hand, others may prefer to have guidance throughout their project to make sure they’re on the right tacks. Laissez-faire leadership can be effective in situations where group members are highly skilled, motivated, and capable of working on their own.
You will be accountable and responsible for any mistakes or errors. You do not have to like the people you work with and you will need to keep personal opinions and feelings to yourself. Mutual respect and understanding needs to be established and is a key factor in developing a good working relationship. A personal relationship is formed through choice, with someone you share interests and feelings with and who you like. There will be no set of rules or procedures to follow and you won’t get paid.
Developing a professional contract administration plan leaves no responsibilities to question. One of the biggest issues in every corporate setting is most employees want to delegate their responsibilities to others who work alongside them. A carefully thought out plan eliminates any room for
This is very difficult because in order for the team to feel as equally passionate about the common goal, the manager must communicate the goal in a way that makes each employee feel they are doing their part individually to achieve the common goal. The same goal cannot be communicated to the IT staff in the same way that it is communicated to the operations staff. Each subset of teams has a separate objective all leading to a common goal. Knowing when and how to deal with employees who are performing low is also pertinent as a general manager. Ultimately the general manager wants to have a great team.
Arthur may not be the best at managing others, which could make presentations or working on teams difficult. Arthur would not be the best choice to manage other workers, but he is an asset to the company because he has a positive attitude and likes his job. Arthur is a valued employee, and this positive state of mind could be good for morale. “Breaking down organizational goals into smaller more detailed task geared specifically toward the strength of an employee is an example of Management by Objection or the goal setting theory” (Pearson Education, Inc, 2011). As manager, I have decided that Arthur will serve the company well working in a position that does not require him to be in charge of any projects.

Self Ownership is the concept that you and I as sovereign beings have full ownership and responsibility over our bodies and our minds. In Self ownership lyes the truest and most fundamental ideals of freedom-- do as you wish as long as your actions do not impede on the freedoms of others . This is a concept that many people believe we already practice in our society, but this is not the case. While teaching and advising others they themselves have to stay on top of the changing world for their own employee’s sake. If they do not address what they need to within their own corporate body they will not be able to do so for others. Having such a diverse group of employees at times makes it simple to hear what the ethical and social differences are among their own group. Then they learn how to adapt to and how to teach how to accept change, embrace it, and teach others about it so there is no issue of race, culture, gender, handicap, or sexual preference within any company. PricewaterhouseCoopers commitment is to deliver value to their employees and clients every day.
There is no one way to motivate employees; each individual employee has to make the choice to figure out what motivates him or her. To be a successful manager or supervisor, you have to understand that you can’t teach your employee’s to be motivated, but you have to create an environment that encourages and promotes employee motivation. Managers must use positive motivational techniques consistently and timely in order for them to be effective. The most effective employees are those that feel valued and supported, but also feel that they are progressing and developing through the completion of challenging tasks (www.careers-help.couk).
