Oliver Cromwell was born in Huntingdon on April 25th 1599. Cromwell was born into the middle Gentry; his lifestyle resembled the lifestyle of a Yeoman Farmer until he received an inheritance from his uncle. When he was 29 years old, he became a member of parliament for Huntingdon. 12 years later, he became a member of parliament for Cambridge.
John Tyler was born on March 29, 1790 in Richmond, Virginia. His mother, a plantation heiress died of a stroke when Tyler was seven. After, the death of his mother he was raised by his father John Tyler Sr. John Tyler Sr. was a judge and taught young John a strict way of viewing the constitution. John Tyler studied at William and Mary College and while there he was under the influence of Bishop James Madison. BJM was the president of William and Mary College.

He was taken to live with other children that were too young to work on the fields. His mother Harriet worked on a nearby plantation and would sometime make her way over to see him.
John Phalen GEOG 351 Project 1 March 18 2011 Porfirio Diaz, President of the republic of Mexico first from 1877-80 and second 1884-1911, was born in the southern state of Oaxaca, on the 15th of September 1830. His father was an innkeeper in the little capital of that province, and died three years after the birth of Porfirio, leaving a family of seven children. Porfirio, who had Indian and Spanish blood in his veins, was educated for the Catholic Church, a body having immense influence in the country at that time. Porfirio Diaz was a 16-year-old militia soldier during the U.S.-Mexican War, the beginning of a career of military and political service that would lead him to the presidency of Mexico. Diaz had a brief stint as a neophyte for the priesthood before joining the army to oppose the U.S. invasion of Mexico.
He was one out of six Mexican-American children. He was born in a small adobe house he was raised there, as well. He owned a ranch and a store; sadly, he lost his land during the Great Depression. He then lost his home too, after that Chavez and his family moved to California to become migrant farm workers. A farm worker is someone that moves around with the work, they work in farms picking whatever the land gives them.
Frederic Bastiat 1801-1850 Early Life Frederic Bastiat was a French economist, born on June 29, 1801 and lived till 1850 (49 years of age) who was a strong believer in a capitalist system, and profoundly shaped and created the arguments and theory we use today to justify a free market economy. He also invented the concept of opportunity cost and the ‘negative railroad’ metaphor used to argue against initiating tolls on foreign goods to level the playing field for domestic goods and services. Bastiat’s father was a wholesale merchant, but died by the time he was 9 and was raised by his grandparents on a farm for the rest of his youth. At age 17 he worked at his uncles counting house for 6 years, before inheriting his grandfather’s farm and becoming a farmer. Bastiat’s education was relatively decent at the time, involving languages, literature and music.
