The audience probably felt confidence in continuing the struggle to assure every human being received the rights granted to them. She was effective in doing this through the use of emotive language to reinforce the firm beliefs and hopes for freedom held by France and the other nations present. In the artifact “The Struggle for Human Rights,” Roosevelt used numerous examples to add support for her main claim and central arguments. Her main claim intended to persuade the audience that universal acceptance of the Declaration of Human Rights will assure all human beings are granted, without compromise, their fundamental human rights and freedoms.
