Elie Wiesel Keep Marching yelled the Nazi soldiers as all the Jews were marching to Buchenwald in the freezing cold, shivering completely out of breath so cold they were almost at the point of dying. Just when they almost made it Elies father had died. He had already lost his mother and sister and now his father. After all the hard work and torture his dad had gone through he had to die just before they were going to be freed. That’s why January 28th was the worst day of Elies life. Elie is a strong person he had gone through hell ever since the Nazis came to his hometown, and he still managed to get his life back in order. Eliezer or Elie Wiesel is an author. By May the deportations began. The Wiesel family had a maid who was Christian that had offered to let them hide in her hut in the mountains but they turned her offer down. While he was staying in the hospitals he made the outline for a book describing his experiences during the holocaust. He was not ready to share his horrible experiences so he promised himself to wait 10 years before writing down every thing he had to go through. Wiesel was released from the hospital but he had no family he could return to. So he joined a group of about 400 orphan children, who were being taken to France. He tried to go to Palestine but he was not allowed to go. For about two years he was in different homes in France he was moving place to place constantly.
