According to Stewards electronic wastes are simply unwanted cell phones, laptops, computers, TVs and appliances. Since the world had become dependent on technology, humans consume large number of electronics and the consumption is still on the rise. The rapid increase in using technology and various electronic devices has made in Southern China specifically in Guiyu, the largest electronic dumping land, leading to water, air, and soil pollutions. As stated by Gutiérrez, E., Lozano, S., & Adenso-Díaz, B. (2010), the rise of the electronic waste landfills stared as a result of the industrial development and the increase in the consumption of manufactured electronics across the world. However, the electronic products will eventually reach the end of their life, resulting in the replacement of the products. A very common example, people are changing their cell phones twice a year because the technology is improving really fast. This will result in many environmental issues that will affect the area surrounding the landfill negatively. As for China, it is the largest consumer and producer of electronic products. As said by Yang (2008), since the 1980’s the production of the electrical and electronic products in China has been increasing rapidly.
