INTRODUCTION Nowadays deficiencies of vitamin A, iron and zinc are widespread especially to those children in the developing world. Food-based approaches may be an absolute solution to eradicate those deficiencies. The proponents take the challenge and made progress to control micronutrient deficiencies through the creation of sweet potato burger. Sweet potato burger is good for the health, for it is made from fresh sweet potato and with no preservatives added. This burger is made from the raw materials of sweet potato, which is rich in vitamins (B1, B2, C and E), minerals(calcium, magnesium, potassium and zinc),dietary fiber, and non-fibrous carbohydrates. Other than sweet potato are excellent immunity boosters, effective in curing internal and external inflammation, asthma, bronchitis, arthritis, digestion, cancer, stomach ulcer and diabetes. It also helps to retain water in our body and excellent bulk builders. (Obi, 2011) A hamburger (also called a hamburger sandwich, burg or hamburg) is a sandwich consisting of a cooked patty of ground meat usually placed inside a sliced bread roll. Hamburgers are often served with lettuce, bacon, tomato, onion, pickles, cheese and condiments such as mustard, mayonnaise, ketchup and relish. The term “burger” can also be applied to the meat patty on its own, especially in the UK where the term patty is rarely used. The term may be prefixed with the type of meat as in “turkey burger”. (Harper, 2009) The proponents created the sweet potato burger for they believe it is a feasible business venture, it’s a nutritious food for those individual that is looking for a healthy eating habit and other than that this business may help the farmers preserve their product.
